Geography
Azerbaijan, is a country located at the boundary of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. It is a part of the Caucasus region, and is bounded by the Caspian Sea to the east, Russia to the north, Georgia to the northwest, Armenia and Turkey to the west, and Iran to the south.

The primary environmental concerns in Azerbaijan are pollution from the oil industry, inadequate waste management and deforestation
About Javid
Javid has been working tirelessly in Azerbaijan since graduating at University to raise awareness and campaign for a wide range of important environmental issues. He co-founded the environmental awareness group Ecofront, who’s main purpose has been to successfully campaign against the wide ranging illegal deforestation that has been occurring by developers looking to plant hazelnut and tea plantations. The group has expanded in numbers and gained strong support from the population through strong social media campaigning. The group regularly organises local clean up operations, campaigns for improved waste management and raises awareness on animal rights issues
